The Public Transport Infrastructure Fund is looking for funding to help it expand its network to cover more areas.
The $8.6 million fund has just launched a new website and an app.
In the next 12 months it wants to expand to cover up to 150,000 more kilometres.
To do that, it is looking to raise $30 million through a $2 million capital injection.
“We need to continue to build capacity, and this is an opportunity to do that by expanding our network,” Mr Chisholm said.
It’s an investment that could help windstream provide more reliable and affordable service for its customers.
While most cities in Australia already offer public transport, it’s often a long, expensive trip.
But with a low cost of living and a growing number of people in the middle class, Mr Chishedolm believes windstream’s business model is a better option than public transport.
Its business model has been proven in other countries, he said.
“In Australia it’s not just the infrastructure that’s really important, but also the people who are travelling,” he said
