Randolph Communications chief Paul R. Gee has resigned as communications director, The Irish News has learned.
Gee, 52, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on Tuesday and charged with one count of forcible rape of a person less than 18 years old.
He is due in court Friday.
Randolph is a company that makes digital-based digital-communications products for businesses and nonprofits.
Gees family has a long history of advocacy and service to the community.
In 2007, he was the first African-American to be appointed to the Iowa Department of Public Safety.
