By Football Italy staff Sport journalist Gianluca Pisanello has reported that Rossi is considering resigning from his position as president of the Rossoneri.
Rossi’s comments are in a new report published by Italian newspaper La Repubblica which quotes him as saying: “I had no idea about the situation.
It is a matter of the coach.”
Rossi is currently at the helm of the Serie A side, who have recently lost two in a row in Serie B, and the club are currently under the care of Cesare.
He has also been linked with a return to England and is now believed to be considering his options, which could include a return home to Italy.
It is not the first time Rossi has been linked to a possible exit.
He made his move to the Premier League as a player with Derby County in the Championship in the summer of 2015 and was a successful loan signing with Norwich City.
However, in the following year he moved to Manchester City and in the January transfer window, the Rossons former sporting director Cesare was fired after just one season in charge.
In an interview with Sky Sport Italia, Rossi has previously stated: “The whole situation with the board and Cesare is not as bad as it looks.
We need to make things right.
We are in good shape for next season. “
If Cesare wants to leave, we are all ready for that.
We are in good shape for next season.
If he wants to stay, we can discuss the situation.”
Cesare Pradelli is currently the club’s sporting director, although the Rossonista has yet to take charge.
